SSC CGL vs SSC CHSL: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts many examinations across the country to fill numerous vacancies of different departments. A few major SSC exams include Combined Graduate Level (CGL) and Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), and General Duty (GD) Constable, Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ and Central Police Organization (CPO).Both these exams are the prominent examinations conducted in the country as candidates upon the qualification of these exams get selected for Group ‘B’, Group ‘C’ and clerical posts in various departments/ ministries of Central Government.
CLAT - The Common Law Admission (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) Law Programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities in India. CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities. Several affiliates universitis and organisations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recriutment respectively. Till 2018, CLAT was conducted on a rotation basis by NLUs. However, from 2019 onwards the CLAT will be conducted by a permanent body, ''Consortium of NLUs'' formed by NLUs. The body has its headquarters at NLSIU Bangalore.
IPMAT is an aptitude test conducted by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak for admission to its five-year IPM course (Integrated Programme in Management). IPM course is a dual degree program (Bachelors + Masters) offered by IIM Indore for candidates passing the 12th standard. It is a program that allows entry to an IIM just after the 12th standard. For securing admission in the IPM course, aspirants have to clear IPMAT and the shortlisted candidates then go through the Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI) round. In addition to IIM Indore, Nirma University also accepts IPMAT scores for admission to its BBA-MBA integrated program. IIM Rohtak has also introduced its Integrated Programme in Management and has a separate IPMAT for its admissions.
SAT is a standardized test administered by the College Board and is required to be taken by students seeking admission to undergraduate schools. The full form of SAT is the Scholastic Assessment Test, which was earlier known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test. SATs has been developed to evaluate the written, verbal and mathematical skills of the candidates. SAT is a pencil-paper test taken by those who aspire to pursue undergraduate courses, particularly in the US and Canada are required to take the SAT exam. SAT helps students on their path to college. Earlier, students looking to get admission to a particular course needed to take the SAT subject test but now SAT Subjects are discontinued by the College Board from June 2021. UG aspirants should know when they should start studying for the SAT.
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) - 2022) is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central & other Universities for academic session 2022-23 under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). The CUET is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.
Over 53 Central Universities, including Aligarh Muslim University, Assam University, Banaras Hindu University, Central University of Hyderabad, Central University of South Bihar, Central University of Gujarat, Central University of Haryana, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, and the Central University of Jammu, will accept CUET 2022 scores.
